Project Overview
This thoughtfully executed renovation transformed a three-bedroom residence into a refined, contemporary home, balancing architectural precision with modern living. The project included a new single-story kitchen/diner extension, expanding the living space and creating a modern hub for family life. Every element of the build was approached with care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Considerate Construction
Located within a residential housing estate, access to the property presented logistical challenges, in tight spaces and with several neighbours nearby to keep happy. As a considerate contractor, we carefully managed deliveries, working hours, and machinery use to minimise disruption to neighbouring homes, ensuring a respectful and well-coordinated build process throughout.
Architectural Highlights
A defining feature of the property is the striking corner sliding door system by Sky-Frame, which opens up an entire corner of the living space. The extension includes fully glazed triple sliding doors, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. This smooth glazing solution floods the interior with natural light while creating a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor living.
Craftsmanship & Joinery
Bespoke joinery plays a central role in the home’s character, most notably the beautifully crafted oak staircase. Fitting the bespoke staircase and kitchen required careful planning and precision, yet the outcome enhances both the practicality and the visual appeal of the home. Meticulous detailing and high-quality materials elevate the interior, reflecting the level of workmanship carried through the entire project.
Sustainability & Performance
The building was fully insulated to enhance thermal efficiency with new insulation installed in cavity walls and replaced in the roof. New solar panels were installed on the existing house, and a new air source heat pump (ASHP) was fitted near the new office. These upgrades deliver a future-focused approach to comfort and energy performance without compromising on luxury. The extension’s flat roof was completed with a wild green sedum covering, combining sustainability with aesthetic appeal.
Reimagined Spaces
The existing garage was expertly renovated and repurposed into a fully functional, modern office space, providing a quiet, stylish environment suited to contemporary working needs.
