Supporting Burnham Market Primary School with a New Classroom Space
Building Norfolk is proud to have supported Burnham Market Primary School in the creation of a brand-new classroom and wellbeing space, designed to give pupils a calm, supportive environment where they can learn, reset and thrive.
The new classroom, built by Grocott and Murfit, is a standalone space separate from the main school building. Thoughtfully designed with children’s wellbeing in mind, it includes a fully functional classroom alongside a kitchen area, as well as a quiet zone where pupils can take time out, relax and regulate in a safe, welcoming setting.
A Collaborative Effort for Children’s Wellbeing
Grocott and Murfit made a significant contribution to the project, managing the build from start to finish and ensuring it was delivered to a high standard. Materials were sourced at a reduced cost, helping to maximise the impact of the project, and the team provided full support throughout the build via Building Norfolk.
This collaborative approach ensured the new space could be delivered efficiently while remaining focused on what matters most, creating an environment that supports children’s learning, mental health and overall wellbeing.
A Space Designed to Support Learning and Mental Health
The classroom reflects the growing importance of mental health provision within schools, offering a dedicated area where children can feel supported both academically and emotionally.
